Keep Me Warm installation
1996; 9'H x 12'W (variable); wood; drywall; romance novels

Keep Me Warm is a wall built on top an existing exterior wall,
and insulated with romance novels. During the exhibitions
(Randolph St. Gallery, Chicago, 1996, and Carleton College,
MN, 1999) viewers became aware of the presence of the book
insulation only if they read the title label, which included
“romance novels” as a material.
